Woodbury County, Iowa

Woodbury County is located in West Central Iowa. It is named for Levi Woodbury, a former governor of New Hampshire.
Originally known as Wahkaw County, the current seat and largest city are Sioux City.
It borders Plymouth, Cherokee, Ida and Monona Counties in Iowa, as well as Thurston and Dakota Counties in Nebraska, and Union County in South Dakota.
Main highways through the county include I-29, I-129, US-20, US-75, US-77, IA-12, IA-31, IA-141 and IA-175.
